A word from the President
I would like to thank all those who made this event possible and who contributed to its smooth running, despite last minute disruptions, such as being forced to find a new venue two weeks before the tournament.
I would particularly like to thank Sven and Thomas for their hard work, both in the last few weeks in preparing and organising the event and finding a new venue as well as during the tournament. Thanks also to the other members of the SDA board, Andy, Deborah, Fabian and Jari for their commitment during the tournament, as well as for the dismantling and storage. Thanks also to Florian, who came back from holidays to help with the dismantling on Sunday evening. I don't forget our 3 ladies, Dominika, Jeannette and Rosie, who worked to tidy up and clear the hall during the weekend, also Felix Degen who led the dismantling of the installations, Nenad who came on Friday and Saturday to set up the live streaming of the finals, in spite of family obligations.
A big thank you also to Didi Wanner and all his team at the Joker Bar for setting up the facilities and organising the catering. I would also like to thank our two MC Callers, John Fowler and Roman Löffel, as well as all those I forgot to mention in this short note of thanks.
Finally, I would like to thank all the participants of this tournament who came in great numbers from Switzerland and abroad and I say to them: see you next year.
